ABOUT

The Friends of Orchestral Music are proud to host the final dress rehearsals of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra Autumn Season. All proceeds collected go directly to the running costs of the orchestra.


Rehearsals take place at the City Hall, Darling Street, Cape Town from 11am until 2pm. Present your ticket at the signposted back entrance in Longmarket Street.


Please note: No entry without proof of vaccination or negative Covid test within 48 hours


Non reserved seating available downstairs only. No balcony or Bay seats available. No food or drink allowed in the hall.

A wizard of the keyboard and a conductor acclaimed for the passion he brings to the podium reprise a partnership that extends from Cape Town to Halifax in the mighty Emperor Concerto. As a statement of support to the victims of war in the Ukraine, the CPO will perform the Marcia funebre from Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony on April 7 and 8. This replaces the Schubert Rosamunde which was advertised.
